Adam Charnack, co-founder of Hi-Wire Brewing, whose journey from affordable housing to brewery ownership is as unique as the craft beers they create. Adam's love affair with Asheville started long before he became a brewery owner. From childhood visits to moving there in his late twenties, Ashville’s charm and vibrant culture always held a special place in his heart. But it wasn't until a serendipitous opportunity arose that Adam and his college buddy-turned-business partner embarked on their brewing adventure.

Hi-Wire Brewing’s first taproom, nestled in downtown Asheville on Hilliard Avenue, was born from the acquisition of a defunct brewery's equipment, he said during The Brewery Explorer’s podcast. With a mix of excitement and empowerment, they dove headfirst into the world of craft beer, unaware of the challenges and triumphs awaiting them.

Since the early days, Hi-Wire Brewing’s focus was simple: brew quality beer that resonated with the community. Their modest business model projections were quickly surpassed, leading to the expansion of their production facility. Armed with a more efficient setup, they continued to grow, opening taprooms in strategic locations across North Carolina and beyond.
